Confront Police Brutality

Amplify BIPOC Voices

PeaceState, Louisville’s first intersectional art activist collective, is organizing Peace Art Activism, a digital collaborative art activism event to benefit the effort against police brutality. We are working with like-minded artists throughout the country to raise awareness surrounding the epidemic of state-sanctioned violence and systemic oppression perpetrated by law enforcement against black communities. We are highlighting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ artists, but will not turn down any artist whose values align with PeaceState’s mission statement.

  • There is a suggested $20-$30 donation for admission, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Admission grants you access to all components of this event.
  • With each $10 you donate, you’ll receive one raffle entry. This includes the donation you made by purchasing your ticket. It does not apply to bids in the auction.
  • GRAND PRIZE: An original art piece from the collection not sold during the auction -or- re-print of your choice.
  • 2ND PLACE: A PeaceState shirt and tote bag.
  • 3RD PLACE: A PeaceState shirt and sticker pack!
  • Please note: the only difference between each ticket is the amount you're donating - you'll have the exact same permissions to our events, regardless of which one you purchase!

If you'd like to place bids or view our gallery in advance of the event, you can do so here.

Proceeds for each piece sold will primarily benefit the 501c3 of the artist's choice, with each artist given the option to claim a stipend for their participation.

In the interest of transparency, PeaceState would like to note that the primary organizers for this event are white. Though each of the organizers is dedicated to anti-racism and decolonization, PeaceState acknowledges the potential for knowledge gaps as a product of the organizers' identities. As such, PeaceState is committed to adjusting and adapting based on feedback. Peace Art Activism will emphasize the creative efforts of the artists involved, with each of the organizers maintaining a supporting role.
