Who We Are
In the interest of acknowledging privilege, PeaceState would like to note that the primary organizers for this event are white. Though each of the organizers is dedicated to anti-racism and decolonization, PeaceState acknowledges the potential for knowledge gaps as a product of the organizers’ identities. As such, PeaceState is committed to adjusting and adapting based on feedback. Peace Art Activism will emphasize the creative efforts of the artists involved, with each of the organizers maintaining a supporting role.
Our events raise money for a variety of organizations working to support the Black Lives Matter movement, including but not limited to NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Black Trans Women, and Black Trans Men.
